At Merino Reserve in Camden, NSW, a new post and rail fence has been installed. What’s particularly interesting is the combined pine and recycled plastic construction. Replas 125 mm x 125 mm bollards are used as posts, together with 81 mm x 56 mm rails made of untreated pine that is totally encased in recycled plastic to ensure water doesn’t penetrate.
Camden Council is the customer and Jim’s Fencing the installer. On seeing specifications for the job, David from the company was quick to say “great to see clients are embracing environmental products’’.
Camden is situated in the south west of Sydney, one of the newly-developing parts of the metropolitan area, with a population of over 100,000 and growing fast.
