A new bridge made with Trex® Decking and Replas composite fibre has been installed at the Annie Wood Park in Mackay Regional Council. 10 metres long and 1.8 metres wide, Ross Willis Parks Building Services Coordinator  has said, “we are certain the new bridge will be far less maintenance intensive than the old timber bridge was and while looking a lot more modern, it should last much longer than the original.” Replas offers sturdy fibre composite structural components for a variety of boardwalk projects, including footbridges, decks, cycle paths and jetty applications. The innovative design allows the components to be seamlessly integrated, like the Trex® Decking, resulting in structures that are created without using any timber products at all. “We chose to replace  the timber bridge at this location with the Replas composite material as there are already two other bridges in this park that already been replaced with the composite material,” continued Ross. A great addition to any park, using recycled plastic materials is the perfect contribution to Mackay Regional Council in Queensland that will last many years of durability and style for the area.
