The new fishing and viewing platform installed at Springers Lagoon, part of Rockhampton Regional Council, includes recycled plastic decking Enduroplank™ from Replas. Recycled plastic decking platforms are a great fit for purpose product for the Queensland marine environments as it will not rot, split or crack like alternative materials. Even when submerged in salt water, the Replas decking will not corrode. Replas has also created an easy to install system that provides a long lasting, durable solution for councils. The low maintenance aspects of recycled plastic products allows visitors, locals and maintenance crews more time to enjoy the surrounding environment.

“The stunning Springers Lagoon in Gracemere is now even more inviting thanks to the addition of a fishing and viewing platform. The platform is an initiative of the Queensland Government, and made possible through $80,000 in funding from Round 2 of the Works for Queensland program. Member for Rockhampton Barry O’Rourke said that the new platform will draw tourists and locals alike to the natural waterhole.”
