On Monday, February 17th 2020, Sustainability Victoria met at the Replas Ballarat Facility to inspect equipment as part of the final stages of the Resource Recovery Infrastructure Fund grant they have awarded to Replas. Nick Bailey, Dale Beckham and Emily Newton of Sustainability Victoria were shown around the Replas facility by Managing Directors Mark Jacobsen and Russell Muller and Business Development Manager, Paul Hone. New state of the art machinery will be commissioned within weeks, with a second machine to be installed in the coming months. This places Replas, assisted by Sustainability Victoria through the grants program, in an excellent position to work with its key partners RED Group, APCO, Coles and Woolworths and others to re-process plastic waste material as part of the Circular Economy. As leaders on the world’s stage, Replas is investing heavily to make an impact on the current soft plastic waste crisis in Australia.
