Hunters Hill is Sydney’s smallest local government area, situated on a peninsular at the confluence of the Parramatta and Lane Cover Rivers. Living in Australia’s oldest garden suburb, the people of this community take great pride in their parks and reserves. In keeping with a policy that ensures investment in quality improvements, Hunter’s Hill Council turned to Replas when upgrading installations at Boronia Park. Black recycled plastic 100 x 100mm bollards now line the edges of high pedestrian-traffic areas, while a number of grey wheel stops have been fitted in the car park.
Dating back to pre-colonial New South Wales, Boronia Park is home to many diverse examples of the local flora and fauna. To help preserve and protect this highly-valued natural environment, the Council has embraced a very modern material; recycled plastic in the form of functional products made using the very latest processing technology.
