“Australian made recycled plastic products are of a high quality that give the best value for money in many instances. More often than not, they are the most desired option for our outdoor furniture, bollard and wheel stop needs,” said Project Manager: Landscape at Whyalla City Council in South Australia, Sam Bourne. Whyalla City Council is home to dozens of recycled plastic furniture products and bollards from Replas. “Timber was the main product that was replaced by your products,” explained Sam, “the maintenance free aspect of recycled plastic products is a very appealing aspect to choosing your products. Whether it be maintenance free, termites and rot, price or other purpose matters, recycled plastic products can fill a role that other materials can’t.” When compared to timber or metal, recycled plastic products quality stands out from the rest, “we have a policy now to always consider recycled plastic solutions for all of our maintenance and capital works,” said Sam. Recycled plastic beachcombers from Replas have been routed custom to Whyalla City Council and their shoreline installations, along with bollards and bollard fencing. When asked if Whyalla City Council would install more Replas products, Sam was positive of future projects, “highly likely I would say. They [Replas products] are always well received, they are easy to install and they look quite nice.”
