In South East Queensland, Bundaberg Regional Council has recently installed a bollard fence using Replas recycled plastic bollards along the sand dunes at Nielson Beach, in Bargara. 125 mm bollards from Replas are robust and comprises a recycled plastic profile with a pyramid-shaped top. Replas bollards are the ideal solution wherever rigid barriers are required to define boundaries or deter vehicles and pedestrians. For ease of handling, the 125 mm bollard is hollow to reduce its weight. The addition of the wire between the recycled plastic bollards provides a cost effective solution for reducing the impact of people walking on the dunes. As is the case with all recycled plastic products, these bollards require minimal maintenance from beach or council staff. Replas bollards will not split, splinter or crack and never need painting. The 125 mm bollard is easy to install and can withstand the harsh marine and salt water environments for many years.
