In reflection, 2004 will be known as the year of the bollard, the City Of Casey and Hume Council alone have installed  over 700 recycled bollards in 2004. Their rational is simple – “The public want to see their kerbside waste put to good use and the council wishes to show that it doesn’t just talk about the environment but actually puts its words into practice. But most of all it makes sense to have a bollard that lasts many times longer than the wooden alternative and it is maintenance free”
