Long time supporter of a Circular Economy, Sunshine Coast Regional Council understands the importance of purchasing recycled plastic products from Replas becoming the true recycler. A recent installation was at Canavan Gracie Recreational Park in the Pelican Waters. Approximately 140 Brolga bollards (some with reflector mods) were installed – a whopping 1,680 kg of plastic waste (of the equivalent of 420,000 pieces of plastic packaging). Named after the official bird emblem of Queensland, the Brolga bollard is tall and slender with an elegant profile, equally at home in coastal or wetland areas.
The unique double wall construction offers more rigidity which adds to the strength of the installation. Having a hollow centre means the bollards are strong and extremely lightweight, making them cheaper to transport and easier to install. A great addition to Canavan Gracie Rec Park!
