Pepper’s Paddock in Wattle Glen, Victoria, is dotted with restful recycled-plastic furniture for parents to relax comfortably and keep an eye on their children playing in the playground. Kindly donated by Bendigo Bank, these Lyrebird Settings and Kimberley Seats have created a long-lasting legacy for future generations to enjoy.
Nillumbik Shire Council, who manage the region, are great supporters of Replas and recycled-plastic products. Within the community they strongly promote the Coles REDcycle initiative. Residents take their soft plastic – bread bags, biscuit packets, frozen food bags, rice and pasta bags, confectionery packets, plastic shopping bags and old reusable bags – to their local store where they are sent to Replas to be turned into products, which in turn will go back into their community.
