Outwest Concrete have installed Polyrok at the new Coles development in Cobblebank and for Wyndham City Council as part of their Wyndham Active Transport Strategy, a 10-year plan to connect the missing links in our walking and cycling paths that make journeys on foot, bike, scooter, wheelchair and the like harder than they need to be. The 310 metre footpath along Parker Street and for the kerbs, channels, and sidewalks at the Coles development, millions of soft plastic packaging has been diverted from landfill. Glen Outten, General Manager for Outwest Concrete, said this is the future of concreting, “the soft plastics are working great in concrete with the thermal currency, the workability, bonding to the cement to hold the strength. It’s a big stepping stone towards green concrete.”
