Educating our youth about the importance of recycling and our environment is crucial for our future.

Moonee Ponds Primary School in Victoria recognises the need to physically demonstrate recycling and empower students to contribute to the effort.

The school recently installed some 3.6 metre-long recycled-plastic Kookaburra Benches in their courtyard, accompanied by plaques aiming to teach students, parents and teachers the benefits of saving waste from landfill.

The plaque stipulates the amount of plastic bags the school has saved from landfill, 35,000, making students realise the enormous impact that three simple benches have had.

Do your children feel they’re helping our planet?
