In a world first, Mitre 10’s Frankston store will sell Replas recycled-plastic products, made from its own plastic waste. In conjunction with Replas, Mitre 10 has launched a range of bollards and Enduroplanking™, which will be sold in direct competition to its traditional timber products.

‘We believe that once our customers realise there is a viable alternative to traditional wooden bollards and decking, they will be keen to give it a go,’ said Trade Supervisor John Betts. ‘Mitre 10 is proud to be involved in this innovative project, and looks forward to recommending the range to our market as a fantastic, environmentally-sustainable solution.’

In keeping with Mitre 10’s commitment to the environment, the Frankston store has also installed Replas speed humps in the car park, rather than metal, concrete or rubber alternatives.
