“The seating was chosen as part of a grant for our kitchen garden and achieved through our sustainability group, the Earthlings. One of our school council members knew of Replas and as soon as we had mentioned it to the team, they were keen to go with recycled and sustainable products. After they had seen a clip on how the soft plastic was recycled, they were unanimous in their decision to go with Replas,” said Leah Sharp at Ararat Primary School in Ararat, Victoria. Leah and the Earthlings installed multiple recycled plastic Kookaburra Settings from Replas in their school yard. Leah explained the area was being developed to be ‘class and student friendly’ and chose Replas ‘because it is more sustainable and environmentally friendly and will not deteriorate like wooden products.’ Kookaburra Settings from Replas are ideal for areas where maximum seating is required, making it the perfect fit for this outdoor classroom environment. Unlike alternative outdoor furniture, these recycled plastic tables and benches will not split, splinter or crack and will never need painting. “The Earthlings were very happy to find a company that produces recycled products,” explains Leah, “it’s a great way to reduce rubbish and waste and still have practical uses.” Durable, long lasting and low maintenance Kookaburra Settings from Replas have become a great fit for purpose installation for Ararat Primary School.
