With tens of thousands of footy fans crossing over the MCG Bridge each month the bridge needed to be able to take more than a little friendly barracking.

Vic Track—a government rail business, responsible for the oldest of three pedestrian bridges linking the busy Melbourne Park to MCG precincts—required a firm to complete a resurfacing project. The wooden planks were covered with marine ply and coated with non-slip compound. However, the marine ply had started to rot, split and twist which caused the non-slip coating to fall off. This created safety concerns and also required ongoing maintenance.

Vic Track decided to replace the marine ply and non-slip coating with Enduroplank™. This has provided them with a great product which has eliminated maintenance costs and improved slip resistance on this highly utilised foot-bridge.

The new decking was quickly and easily installed by a Replas Diamond Club member—one of our many qualified partners whose expertise ensures a quality installation. Vic Track is so happy with the finished product they are considering more projects around Victoria.
