A new and unique jetty was officially opened today at Swansea, Tasmania, by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Michael Polley. Mr. Polley said the new jetty was the first in Tasmania to be built mainly from recycled materials, making it ‘an ideal construction material, because it does not rot like timber or corrode like metals’.

‘It is tremendous that not only will the town of Swansea be able to enjoy the benefits of a new facility, it will do so in the knowledge that it’s environmental credentials are excellent.’
