Darvall Park in City of Ryde, NSW, is filled with over 200 recycled plastic bollards and a swale bridge made from the recycled plastic decking, Enduroplank™ from Replas. Running from Eastwood down to West Ryde, Darvall Park has playgrounds, sheltered picnic areas, barbecue facilities, a designated off-leash dog area and more. The Enduroplank™ swale bridge gives pedestrians a safe, durable platform to cross the park that will not split, rot or crack like alternative materials. The hundreds of 100 mm bollards have a pyramid shaped top with a routed collar at the top and is partially hollowed to reduce its weight for ease of handling. As is the case with all recycled plastic products, both the bollards and Enduroplank™ decking require little maintenance, making it that much easier for City of Ryde maintenance department. Years after these products have been installed, they stand good as new with many years of use yet to come.
