The entrance footpath to Overport Park in Frankston City Council has been designed and installed with recycled plastic Enduroplank™ decking and profiles as kick rails. This floating path allows residents and visitors in the area a safe, durable entryway around the tree roots just outside the park. Enduroplank™ is a sturdy, long lasting and virtually maintenance free decking product that provides an sustainable alternative for a floating deck. Installation is easy due to the consistency and uniformity of Enduroplank™, securing the planks to the supporting structure by pre-drilling and counter sinking. A grooved surface on Enduroplank™ provides excellent slip resistance, currently rated at R10 (P3) according to Australian Standards. Using recycled plastic profiles as kick rails gives the structure more safety and durability for bicyclists and people in wheelchairs. Like all recycled plastic products from Replas, this decking and profiles will not rot, rust or ever need painting. This floating deck is a great addition for Frankston City Council, their residents and visitors of Overport Park.
