‘Flinders Christian Community College Carrum Downs is very passionate when it comes to recycling and contributing to the cleanliness of the community, both inside and outside of the campus.

Recently, Flinders has created some new programs which have had significant differences on the appearance of the school and the community. One of these is the recycling boxes which have been placed in years 5 to 9. Students are encouraged to place any soft plastic they use at school or find at home in these boxes, according to their house colour. This is a also a competition for the students.

Flinders are currently discussing the option of placing recycling boxes in the Years 3 and 4 classrooms as well as the SLC (Senior Learning Centre).’ Maddy Lillie – Student, Flinders Christian Community College.
