The huge storm that hit Sydney and surrounding areas on 4 & 5 June 2016 caused immense damage along the NSW coast, wrecking many foreshore properties and installations.  At Kurnell on the south side of Botany Bay, a 40 m Enduroplank™ beach access was impacted by the large seas, but not seriously. Seven metres of the recycled plastic decking closest to the water was lifted and dropped 20 metres away. However the structure stayed largely intact for a relatively simple reinstatement job.  That’s great testament to the integrity of the  3.6 m planks, and an indication of the suitability of the Enduroplank™ beach access system.
