Deep Creek Marina in Moama, NSW, is undergoing an 18 month refurbishment that when complete will feature over 1000 brown recycled-plastic bollards saving the equivalent of more than two million plastic bags from landfill.

Stage one of the project was completed in December by Extend Building & Design Pty Ltd and after creating a new lawn area alongside the houseboat moorings, the 100 mm posts were installed to prevent cars from parking on the grass.

Sharelle Beckworth from Extend Building & Design Pty Ltd, said, ‘The bollards were easy to install, with the cement holes in the mould making for a solid installation. Many houseboat owners have complemented the new look of the marina and style of the new brown recycled plastic bollards’.
