Specified specifically for their recycled plastic content, Defence Housing Australia has installed over 1,500 Brolga Bollards from Replas at a new housing precinct, Akuna Vista, in West Sydney, New South Wales. Contracted by Devcon Civil, these recycled plastic bollards are the perfect fit to deter vehicles and navigate pedestrian walking in the estate.

Brolga Bollard’s are tall and slender with an elegant profile and is equally at home in coastal or wetland areas. The unique double wall construction offers more rigidity which adds to the strength of the installation. While a hollow centre means although the bollards are strong they are extremely lightweight, making them cheaper to transport and easier to install. As is the case with all Replas recycled plastic products, these bollards are virtually maintenance free, they will not split, rot, crack, or ever need painting.

A fantastic, sustainable addition to the local community using recycled material that would otherwise go to landfill.

Akuna Vista is built on the former RAAF Military Air Base and Aerodrome, which was originally established in 1942 during WWII and decommissioned in 1994.
