Flinders Christian Community College in Carrum Downs, Vic, is a school that believes change begins with our own attitudes and practices. Such is their commitment to the environment they have developed a Community Engagement program as part of their Middle School curriculum. According to Nick Haines, Head of Middle School, the program will give, ‘students the capacity to make a real change beyond the classroom’.

Year 9 students will promote the recycling of soft plastics throughout the college and as part of their community service will visit local beaches to clear rubbish. The school clearly understands that recycling is important, but they also recognise that it is equally important to embrace the use of products made from recycled material. Several projects incorporating Replas products are currently planned for completion at the school over the summer holidays.
