It was a dull and drizzly day on Jackson Street and not one for al fresco dining. But that allowed us a close-up look at these Replas cafe tables in the historic Petone, New Zealand street. With Jackson’s Street’s popularity as a regional destination, these tables have seen a lot of lattes since their installation in 2012. The design used Replas recycled plastic profiles of differing widths and colours on galvanised framing fabricated by our New Zealand distributor Metal Art. As far as we could tell on our close inspection of their condition, they could have gone in yesterday.

Jackson Street is described as “The funkiest shopping, entertainment and food destination in Greater Wellington”. Its heritage buildings are an important reminder of New Zealand’s colonial beginnings. The very first organised group of European settlers came ashore at nearby Petone Beach in 1840.
