“The bollards and wheel stops were installed out at Serpentine Gorge, 100km west of Alice Springs on Namatjira Drive. The works was for the Parks and Wildlife Commission NT,” explains Clint Thompson at Diggamen Civil in the Northern Territory. “They were upgrading an existing car park that had permapine (timber) posts, that had started to deteriorate and break down.” Recycled plastic products are a great alternative to timber, especially in areas like Northern Territory, as termites will not infest the recycled plastic and the bollards will not rot, crack, or split like permapine bollards. “As an extra, we installed wheel stops to complete the car parking area,” continued Clint. Replas recycled plastic products ‘is smart thinking’ when it comes to harsh environments in Northern Territory, while turning soft plastics into long lasting, durable products to last.
