As part of a multi-million dollar renovation, Tasmania’s Launceston Airport needed to upgrade its passenger drop-off area and outdoor passenger facilities.

The airport operator’s goal was to ensure all seating would be compliant with the Australian Standards of Design for access and mobility, which specifies that armrests should be a certain height to make it easier for the elderly and disabled to stand. After looking at the requirements, Replas agreed to design a new armrest, which has now been added to our product range.

So impressed was the airport with the first delivery of seats, they have decided to order another ten for use in the car park.
