The Burnie Brae Community Garden, in Queensland, is funded by Brisbane City Council and managed by the Burnie Brae Centre. It is intended for use by seniors and people with disabilities as well as other sectors of the community and offers opportunities for community interaction and participation in a therapeutic setting.

Scattered throughout the gardens are a mixture of Replas benches and seating, all perfect to rest the weary body after a hard day’s gardening. The furniture has been created from plastic waste collected within the community, returning a valuable resource to those who helped provide it.
