In Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, there’s a place where one sector of the local population gather to hone their skills while getting fit and having fun. Napier Dog Park, behind the region’s premier indoor sporting complex Pettigrew Green Arena, is a fully fenced off-leash area that’s doggone perfect for running free and socialising. The canines enjoy it too, especially with all the new recycled plastic dog agility equipment the Napier City Council has installed.
Dogs and their owners just love the hoops, hurdles, ramps and weave poles that make up the park’s Dog Agility Track, one of several now in place across New Zealand. And after the workout, there’s a recycled plastic bollard drinking fountain to quench canine and human thirsts.
