Education making a difference

SITA Australia is the leader in sustainable resource recovery management. Jane and Lyndal from SITA visited the Replas Environmental Centre recently as they have now associated their school tours with Replas. Both companies will collaborate to provide educational opportunities for young people.

Just in time

Kensington Public School ordered benches for their outdoor play areas along with garden panels to replace the wall on their sand pit in late December 2011. Although it was cutting it fine, it was important to them that the goods would be delivered and installed before the school term commenced in 2012. The Replas Resource Centre worked overtime to make sure the order was quickly dispatched and installed in January, well before the children returned.

Annie Jones, School Principal, said, ‘The whole process has been smooth and everyone from Replas has been helpful. Excellent Customer Service’.

Got a crush on our wheel stops?

Several years ago the Steiner School in Alice Springs purchased a number of Replas traffic control products for their school car park. These included wheel stops, speed humps and profiles and all have performed extremely well on the crushed rock base. The school is now looking to redesign the car park and driveway and intends to use more Replas products for new work.

Take a seat

Woodville Primary School were the first winners of a seat in the South Australian Coles REDcycle program. Robbie Westley from Replas South Australia recently visited the school to see how their seat had settled in to its new home.

Minister Ian Hunter applauds Replas!

In South Australia, Minister Ian Hunter (Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation SA) along with Mark Jacobsen awarded the first Redcycle recycled seat to Woodville Primary School. The Redcycle program is a collaboration between Replas, RED group and Coles.

As the initiative rolls across Australia, all 42 Coles stores in South Australia will not only collect soft plastics for recycling, but will also feature recycled plastic seats in-store for use by their customers. Coles will also donate a considerable number of seats to the local school market to truly close the loop on recycling.
